Relationship and couples therapy offers a neutral space to explore the patterns and unconscious dynamics that may be affecting your relationship. Whether difficulties have built gradually over time or followed a specific event, therapy can help both partners develop a deeper awareness of what is happening between them, and find healthier, more fulfilling ways of relating to one another.
Common concerns explored in relationship therapy can include affairs and betrayal, recurring conflict or patterns of relating, fertility challenges, disconnection, exploring issues around desire and sexual identity, and adjusting to the pressures of major life transitions.
I believe relationships come in many forms, and there’s no single ‘right’ way to love, connect, or build a life with someone. My approach is rooted in Gender, Sexuality, and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) therapy, meaning I work in a way that is genuinely affirming of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and relationship structures, including non-monogamous, multi-partner and LGBTQIA+ relationships.
I won’t make assumptions about what your relationship should look like, or measure it against a narrow idea of ‘normal.’ Instead, I create a space where you and your partner(s) can show up fully as yourselves, explore the patterns, dynamics, and needs that are unique to your relationship.
As a relational therapist, I see the therapeutic relationship itself as central to the work. I bring an open, here-and-now way of engaging, and I see therapy as a collaborative process; your relationship, your story, your pace
I am an accredited member of BACP, the professional association for members of the counselling profession in the UK.
My fee for individual therapy is £65 per session and for couples it is £90. Each session lasts 50 minutes. I reserve a certain number of concessionary spaces for those on low income, so please let me know if you’re looking for a reduced fee when contacting me.
Every new client attends a consultation. This is an opportunity for us to discuss in more detail what brings you to therapy, and for you to decide whether we can work well together
Finding the right therapist for you is really important, so if you have any initial questions I am more than happy to have a brief chat on the phone.
